Vintageの大戦モデルを10本集めれば、10通りの顔がある。

そんな仮説のもと、S40’sとはまったく異なるレシピで仕立てたLateS40’s。
少しずつ、この生地の色落ち見本も揃ってきそうなタイミングで、先日、古泉さんが久しぶりにTCBに遊びに来てくださいました。

せっかくの機会だったので、着用されていたGジャンを撮影させていただきました。
このGジャンは、古泉さんの別注モデルのため再販の予定はありませんが、生地にはLateS40’sを使用しています。

LateS40’sの生地は、いわゆる“特濃”ほどではないですが、着込むことでしっかりヒゲのコントラストが出てきます。特に腕まわりのアタリはいい表情になっていました。

改めてお伝えすると、LateS40’sの生地は、古泉さんが所有されているフランネルポケット付きの大戦モデルから糸を解析し、再現したもの。
Vintageの色目にまで落ちたとき、この生地がどんな顔を見せるのか——その瞬間を、皆さんと一緒に見届けられたらと思っています。

Based on that hypothesis, we created the Late S40’s using a completely different recipe from the S40’s.
Just as we’re beginning to see the first examples of how this fabric fades, Mr. Koizumi dropped by TCB for the first time in a while.

We took the opportunity to snap some photos of the jacket he was wearing.
Though this jacket is a special order made exclusively for him and won’t be reproduced, it’s made from the same Late S40’s fabric.

The Late S40’s fabric isn’t what you’d call “extra dark,” but with enough wear, it develops a strong contrast in the whiskers, especially around the arms.
We were able to clearly see the character coming through.

To give some context, this fabric was recreated by analyzing the threads from a vintage WWII model with flannel-lined pockets that Mr. Koizumi owns.
Once this fabric fades down to that familiar vintage tone, we look forward to rediscovering its true character—together with all of you.
